Archbishop Goody HostelNestled in the heart of East Perth amongst heritage ficus trees, Archbishop Goody Hostel (AGH) offers low care services to 40 residents.
Opened in 1983, AGH has attractive, tree lined courtyards and Queens Gardens is within strolling distance. A children’s playground is located next door to the centre along with free BBQ facilities for public use.
Accommodation consists of bedrooms with a shared bathroom between two rooms, a variety of lounge areas, communal dining room, designated activity room for those who enjoy craft and games and a chapel lounge. All residential rooms have built in robes, desk and vanity. Each room is equipped with access to a private telephone.
We are able to offer physiotherapy and occupational therapy, podiatrist and hairdressing with all services visiting the facility on a regular basis. A full activity program is available for those who wish to participate, along with bus trips which are held each week. AGH is serviced by the free Red Cat bus service which runs from Hay Street by the Rod Evans Centre making trips into the city a breeze.
Catholic Mass is celebrated on Sunday mornings and Thursday afternoons in the chapel lounge.
Rod Evans Senior Citizens Centre is adjacent to the hostel and membership is available to all residents to attend for meals and functions.
This centre provides Residents with the opportunity to remain linked to the wider community as well as access their varied and active lifestyle program which includes trips to areas of interest with Perth and surrounding areas.
