Catholic Homes Incorporated (CHI) is a Christian based, not-for-profit aged care organisation. We have been providing quality care to older Western Australians for over 40 years.
CHI was incorporated on the 10th November 1965 as Catholic Cottages for the Aged. This name was changed to Catholic Homes for the Aged Inc in 1975, and finally to our current name Catholic Homes Inc in 1993.
CHI is governed by a Board of Management with a professional membership representative of the community, the Archbishop of Perth and the Diocese of Bunbury.
We operate 7 residential aged care services, six within the Perth metropolitan area and one in Bunbury as well as 4 Retirement Living Villages.
Our residential aged care services provide for both high nursing care residents and hostel residents. We believe in an approach to care that is holistic, providing for the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our Residents. We take pride in our demonstrated flexibility and understanding of our residents’ needs through services that include allied health rehabilitation, dementia specific services and mental health care as well as supporting Christian ventures for the socially and economically marginalised.
To continue to provide quality care we have recently increased our clinical care support team with the appointment of a Clinical Care Coordinator, and a Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide best practice clinical support and assistance to both staff and residents. Our multidisciplinary team also includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Enrolled and Registered Nurses and Pastoral Care workers.
Our Retirement Living Villages are spread across 4 sites, Wilson, Joondanna, Duncraig and Bunbury. All sites boast beautiful grounds co-located with a residential care facility and are able to offer access to daily meals and 24 hour on-call assistance.
