Cuddles with Wildlife

Residents at Ocean Star in Bunbury have been treated to a visit from some beautiful rescue animals from Bunbury Wildlife Park.

The gorgeous furry friends are all rescue animals and residents get to hold, cuddle and stroke them.

Pictured here is resident Ludwinda Wychha with a baby kangaroo, who seemed perfectly at home on her lap.

Wildlife Cuddles

Lifestyle Facilitator Jacquie Brown says stroking an animal can be extremely therapeutic for older people.

“Therapy animals are being used more and more to promote health and healing for seniors on a range of health conditions such as depression and ongoing disabilities.

She added that the visit was a very uplifting experience for all.
