Rachel Lowry, the new Facility Manager at Archbishop Goody in East Perth, says she is delighted to be part of such a caring staff team.
Rachel is of Canadian descent and has worked as a clinical nurse in Canada, Ireland, Niger in West Africa and Australia. Her work here has also taken her to the Kimberley where she cared for older indigenous people.
Rachel’s role has included helping sanctioned care homes for the elderly get accredited after failing in the past and working as a clinical nurse in a dementia unit.
“The thing that struck me instantly when I arrived at Archbishop Goody was how tremendous the staff are; they have a really caring attitude and work hard together as a team – it’s a genuine pleasure to work here,” she says.
