About the Role     

This position is responsible for coordinating and promoting the Care with Purpose model to enrich the lives of the Residents at Catholic Homes. The position will be supported by the Lifestyle Therapy team including Occupational Therapists based at the Residences as as Senior Clinical Care Team.  

Key responsibilities of the role include

  • Working with Facility Managers and Care Services team to ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Developing and implementing an audit schedule to ensure Consumer Outcomes are measured
  • Monitoring Continuous Improvement Plans to ensure that Improvements are recorded and measured
  • Providing education and support to all Catholic Homes staff relating to quality systems and compliance to improve care and services provided to the residents

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, currently registered with AHPRA
  • An in-depth understanding of dementia, mental health conditions and responsive behaviours; 
  • Passion to make a difference to the lives of older adults
  • Drive to contribute to best practice
  • Experience in leading and delivering new projects and initiatives
  • Ability to work independently as well as effective liaison, networking, team building and relationship building skills
  • Good organisational, time management and computer skills
  • High standard of oral and written communication skills
  • Positive work commitment, honesty and integrity
  • Current driver's license
