Aged Care Reform | New Start Date 1 November 2025

Dear Home Care client,

We’re writing to inform you that the start date for the Australian Government’s aged care reforms has changed. The new Aged Care Act, including the Support at Home program, will now commence from 1 November 2025, instead of the originally planned 1 July.

This change allows more time for everyone, including clients, families, carers, and aged care providers, to prepare. The government is using this time to:

  1. Finalise important service details, pricing, and agreements
  2. Support people to understand the changes better, and
  3. Provide training and guidance to aged care workers and providers

We are fully supportive of this additional preparation period. We will continue to keep you informed every step of the way with updates on our Aged Care Reform Hub and through your Case Manager.

You’ll continue to receive the same compassionate, quality care you know and trust.

Introducing The Lookout Way | from 1 July 2025

While the Government has delayed the Support at Home program, we will still proceed with the introduction of our new client management system, Lookout Way, from 1 July 2025.

Lookout Way will give you and your Case Manager better oversight of your services, improve rostering and scheduling, and support more accurate and transparent budget management.

As part of this transition, you will receive a sample invoice with your June statement to help you get familiar with the new format and understand what to expect going forward.

If you have any questions about Lookout Way or the reform changes, your Case Manager is here to support you.

Warm regards

Emma Brierty
