Painter finds joy in helping others

Meet Pat, our talented and creative resident at St Vincent’s aged care. Pat was born in the 1930s in Reading, Berkshire before she travelled with her family and settled in Busselton. Pat worked as a Nursing Aide and in clerical jobs.

Her fondest memories are caravanning around the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia with her husband, Terry.

Pat and Terry always made it a priority to offer words of encouragement and prayer to those they met along the way in their travels.

When talking about what her key to happiness is, Pat shared: “My God, my faith and being able to help people is rewarding for me”.

Pat retains this helpful and compassionate nature to this day. She helps with facilitating Bible study classes and plays the piano during ‘songs and prayers’ here at St Vincent’s.

She is also a very talented painter, creating the most spectacular landscapes and ocean views.

St Vincent’s residential aged care is a modern home overlooking the Swan River in Guildford, and has rooms available to view now. Book your visit or talk to our friendly team on 9279 55055 or email stvincents@catholichomes.com
