New Chief Executive appointed to Catholic Homes

On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Darren Cutri as the next Chief Executive of Catholic Homes.

After extensive consultation with our executive management team, staff and key stakeholders, Darren was selected from a strong national field of applicants as the best person to lead Catholic Homes as we deliver our mission to provide high quality compassionate care and services in line with our Christ-like values of joy, love and hospitality.

Darren will join Catholic Homes from Activ Foundation Inc. where he is currently Chief Operating Officer.

Darren is an experienced executive leader with a diverse range of skills and expertise in operational and people management, financial performance, strategic growth, risk management, change management and stakeholder engagement.

He has worked across a variety of Catholic, commercial and not-for-profit organisations with extensive experience in the aged care sector having served for a decade on the Board of MercyCare, including as Deputy Board Chairman, and more recently on the Board of Bethanie Group Inc.

He is a committed Catholic and is past Chairman of the Mater Christi Catholic Parish Finance Committee and past Board Chairman of Mater Christi Catholic Primary School and Corpus Christi College. He currently serves on the Sisters of St John of God – Ministry Initiative Advisory Committee.

Darren will commence in his new role on Monday, 15 January 2024.

In the meantime, Ben Foster will continue as Interim Chief Executive. The Board is grateful to Ben for continuing in this role during the transition period.

Please join me in welcoming Darren to Catholic Homes.
