New Consumer and Quality Advisory Groups for our aged care services

Expressions of Interest are now open for Catholic Homes’ consultation bodies for our aged care residences and home care services.

Residential Advisory Bodies

We are seeking interested residents and representatives to join two new consumer advisory groups from March 2024:

• A Consumer Advisory Group focused on care services, your needs, concerns and improvements, which meets annually; and
• A Quality Advisory Group formed specifically to focus on quality care, which includes resident representatives, and meets six-monthly.

These groups comprise staff, residents and their representatives whose feedback from meetings go to Catholic Homes’ governing bodies (executive and Board committees) to assist with their decision making and making continuous improvements.

You may already be involved in a committee or group with Catholic Homes, and we encourage you to continue to participate as much as you prefer. Membership is voluntary for clients, residents and representatives.

This invitation is a further opportunity to have your say and make a valued contribution to how our services operate and the quality of care we provide to you and/or your loved one.

More information regarding advisory groups in aged care is provided in the enclosed fact sheet or please visit the Australian Government’s consumer advisory bodies webpage at: https://www.agedcarequality.gov.au/consumers/consumer-advisory-bodies.

If you want to add to the life of Catholic Homes, share your ideas and improve the care and services we provide, we welcome your involvement, please complete and return the supplied expression of interest form to Administration.

If you have any queries regarding these matters, please speak with your Facility Manager for assistance.
