Looking beyond the surface

A sister killed in a car crash, an award for an art therapist, a faith strengthened, meeting your future spouse at work, a passion for teaching. Everyone has a life-affirming story.

Catholic Homes is highlighting our residents’ rich lives to spark conversations and grow meaningful connections with others.

See Me, Know Me started in 2021 at Head Office to connect staff there to our services and now it has expanded to our residential sites to celebrate living and further empower people to converse,” said Rose Santoro Executive Manager Mission.

Inspired by Meaningful Ageing Australia’s program, our pastoral care and marketing teams interviewed and photographed residents in aged care to create framed portraits with short stories for display in our residences.

“The result has been fantastic, and it was great to see everyone so keen to share and enjoy being involved,” said Marketing Manager Roley Myers.

A sincerely huge thank you goes to our residents for sharing and our wonderful pastoral practitioners led by manager Philip Carrier for bringing these stories to life.

See Me, Know Me stories can be seen at our six residential locations in Perth and Bunbury.
