One thing some of our residents miss when they make Catholic Homes their new home is the opportunity to dine out in restaurants on a regular basis.
What better opportunity to create a restaurant experience than on their birthdays with a pop-up restaurant serving the food, music and guest of their choice, under the culinary expertise of our award-winning chef Kris Gorayah of course.
Resident Len Nyal hasn’t been to a restaurant in years and invited Pastoral Care Practitioner Ian Smith for a lively chat over lunch. “Today I had a beautifully cooked meal by Kris of snapper (my favourite). The best meal I have had in my life. I hope every person who is a resident at Castledare will have as beautiful a meal as I had for my birthday. Many thanks to Ian as well.” Len Nyal
Husband and wife Ashley and Kim enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time together over a meal, which they watched being prepared. Resident David Knewstub loved his Salmon with mushrooms, and it’s easy to see why from the photos.
Jean Onsei enjoyed the sunny courtyard with her daughter Rachel with plenty of flowers and laughter. “Mum loves seafood and thought it was very tasty and my fish was cooked to perfection. Both meals were well presented, delicious and the chef’s efforts were much appreciated.” Rachel Osei
