A team of energetic residents from Trinity Village in Duncraig have taken part in the WA Live Lighter Aged Care Games held at Bouncers Sport in Joondalup.
The team, which named themselves the Trinity Tigers, competed against other teams from RAAFA, Beachside Yanchep Bethanie, Kingsley Meath, Woodlake Aegis, Italian, Mercy Health and Barridale Elderbloom.
Despite being the oldest by far on average, each resident competed with good sportsmanship and had a plenty of fun and laughs throughout the game.
Preparing for the event often proves to be as much fun as taking part and for weeks running up to the big day, residents practiced the various skills they’ll need.
The Live Lighter games, which are organised by the Seniors Recreation Council of WA, are designed to provide a unique opportunity for people living in care. The aim is for each to experience the thrill of competing as a team, while socializing with new people of liked minds.
Competitions are held at various locations in and around Perth and always attract a strong and enthusiastic turnout!
